(Happy) Easter - Random Hits and Random Thoughts

I hope everyone had a great easter! The day certainly turned out a lot better than the "weatherman" anticipated. I know that we could probably use the rain, but I am glad that we didn't get slammed.

Man, I told you this was going to happen...believe me now?! It's a bit of a slap in the face for some of us.

Well, I guess the football news will keep coming. I believe that the 2009 NFL football schedules are due out on April 14th or 15th, so be on the lookout for that!! You know I will post the Texans schedule here on that very day!

This is an actual "action figure" - collectible....it's a little freakin' creepy, but I think that I will probably be owning it at some point in the future. I mean, I think I was meant to own it, don't you think?

I have been watching the Astros play this season, and it could very well be a long season. They have been in most of the games so far, they just can't get over the hump and get in front, but at the same time, they have gotten "whupped" in other games. I will keep watching though...that is just the Houston in me. God, help me.....

The beach house is fast approaching....man, it could be surreal this time around. Just think about it...it just might be the last one ever!!! If not, then they just won't be the same from this year on. I mean, there is an outside shot that they will continue, but there are no guarentees there, you know?! I mean...HELLO! TWINS IN THE NEAR FUTURE!!! Get it now!?!?

*****April 5th was the 15th year anniversary of Kurt Cobain being murdered.....errrrrr...killing himself. Man, 15 years already!??! Holy shit, time passes by so quickly. I hope everyone will honor him by listening to some Nirvana this week. I know that I will be. In any event, this is probably one of my favorite Nirvana moments...Here my little tribute, weep for him, won't you?!?

Just a little background, this Nirvana clip is taken from one of the most wanted and desired concerts off all time, and only Courtney has access to it!! Oh, please Courtney...will you ever release it!?! (and maybe on bluray!??!)

Well, I guess I will end it on that note....till next time!!

Some Important Dates

Just in case you don't know....

We are about 13 weeks along in the pregnancy.

Our next doctor's visit is April 9, 2009. It's just a checkup.

The big date is May 14, 2009. We will find out the sex of the babies in this ultra sound!

The original due date is October 15, 2009.

The doctor's office did say that the due date will more than likely be much eariler. Their goal for us, is to go at least 34-35 weeks. That would put us at a due date around September 3rd at the earliest.

So far, that is all about the news that I have on the twins. If anything new comes up, I sure will update everyone. For now, here is another picture of the twins taken a few weeks ago....

oh yeah! I believe that The Buck's have a very important date tomorrow (April 7th) as well!!!

and just like that....

...my allergies are back...man, I can almost pinpoint the exact moment that it happened. It was like someone flipped a horrible, horrible switch. Why would you do that to me? Arrgh!! Miserable times again! I don't know what the hell is wrong with me.

To top that off, today was one of the worse days that I have had at work in a long time. It's been stressful for a while now, but today sucked. It's no fun being the only one in your department on what used to be the slowest day of the week. I am pretty run down right now. This is definitely not the way I wanted to start off the week. Oh man, I hope it gets better from here....although, I doubt it.

Tonight, Ruby, Laura, Bernadette, and Alisson are at the Toyota Center watching Britney Spears. I hope that they have fun. I am sure that it is a spectacle, just like Britney's life, right!? It's only me and Raymond tonight here at the house, it's a shame that this sinus/allergy/head cold crap is messing with me. We played a little, but now I put the Upside Down Show on for him. He is all good now! It's almost time for me to get some temporary relief from a home remedy that seems to do just that. Two table spoons of Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with warm water. It seems to clear you up. It was a little awkward to drink at first, but I think that I am getting used to it. Man, I need to just get better once and for all. Somebody help me!!

We've been keeping busy lately. The weekends have been booked the last two or three weekends. It's been fun too. I guess we need to take advantage of that while we can. Who knows what it is going to be like in a couple of months. Wow!! Am I right though? I think that the trend is going to keep on going for the next month too. He is a picture of me dressed up.

Well, that's my shoes. I like those shoes. I have had them for a long time, but I still like them. I don't really like to dress up too much. I don't really have a reason. I mean, why do we have to dress up? I don't know. Maybe if my clothes fit me a little better than I would like it more? I don't know...maybe not.

Anyhow, time for me to drink my home remedy stuff and chill with Raymond a little bit more. I have a lot of little things that I want to write about, so I will save those for another day....

Oh yeah! Tomorrow (3/31/09) Polly Jean (or simply, PJ) Harvey comes out with a new album. I am looking forward to it. I like her music, she is great. Here is the first single off of said album, I will be picking it up!!

I can't wait....

for this....it just screams "childhood" when I think of this...

I hope it is good. I think with Spike Jonez at the helm, it definitely has a shot. Who the hell knows though?!? In any case, I will see this at the movies...well, I hope...it is due in October, which I think something else is too....hmmmmm....

Not too much going on, but here are a couple of other things..

I took the following from a random website (www.wwtdd.com)

it makes perfect sense
For years Hollywood has tried to make a "Three Stooges" movie, but could never to find three actors good enough at physical comedy to recreate such recognizable characters. So now they’re just gonna just stop trying and make the movie anyway. Variety says...
MGM and the Farrelly brothers are closing in on their cast for "The Three Stooges."
Sean Penn will play Larry, and negotiations are underway with Jim Carrey to play Curly, with the actor already making plans to gain 40 pounds to approximate the physical dimensions of Jerome "Curly" Howard.
The studio is zeroing in on Benicio Del Toro to play Moe.
The film is not a biopic, but rather a comedy built around the antics of the three characters.
I just hope they have some kind of disclaimer so I can tell between the new version and the old one. If they don’t, I’ll just have to remember that in the old version, it was Larry who was Puerto Rican and mumbled incoherently, and Moe was the middle-aged one who was super angry and took human growth hormones. In the movie version, it’s the opposite.

i don't know how in the hell they are going to pull that one off....sounds almost like a joke to me...

I heard some where today that the Titans will be wearing OILER THROWBACK jerseys up to three times this coming NFL season. Man, that really sucks....It's not Bud Adams fault; the NFL will be honoring the 50th Anniversary of the old AFL. Speaking of, the NFL 2009 schedules are due out sometime in April, so it's fast approaching!

The Beach House is just about 7 weeks away!

That's about all of the random crap that I can think about for now....check back sometime this weekend for another update! (I hope)!

It's been a while....

...but I have been sick. Seriously...sick....I was just browsing over the last blog entry, and that was indeed the start of my run of being sick. It all started around the Super Bowl, and with the sinus problems...it was all down hill from there. For those who don't know, I have been off and on sick for almost the entire month of February and some of March. I almost can't remember what it is like to be well again. I can't wait to feel normal for more than a week or two in a row....

Because of me being sick, February was a weird month. It was good, yes, but being sick really killed it for me. I don't know if I can ever top February for seeing good live music. It was almost an amazing run for me. I mean, how can you top seeing Broken Social Scene, Johnny Goudie and the Little Champions, ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, Arthur Yoria, and Tody Castillo, all in one month? To me, all of the shows that I saw were pretty much great. I would have a very hard time having to pick one show over another. I wish that I could elaborate on all of them, but I guess too much time has past for me to back track and try to remember, and then try to write it up. Either way, they were memorable shows, and shows that are going to be hard to top, and only in the second month of 2009. I do want to try and make at least a local show a month, but we will see how that works out.

It has been a fun month and a half though, despite me being sick. A lot has gone down and good times have indeed been had, but I have to say that the highlight would have to be the news that we are going to have twins. I mean, let's be serious, how could that not the to top headline in my life? Hands down, right!??! Of course!! It's definitely something I, or Ruby, was ever expecting. It's so hard to try and express how I feel. I never in a million years pictured being a father of three children. It's a bit weird in a way. It's going to be fun....well, I know it's going to be pretty tough at first. I mean, the first year and change might the toughest part. Well, I don't know, maybe not. I guess only time will dictate that and all I can do is try my best.

I have gotten so use to it being the three of us right now, that it is a little sad (just a little) in some way to know that it is going to change. I guess, the close of one chapter and the start of a new one, right?! Man, if I thought with Raymond's arrival was a life changer, the twins' arrival is going to be 100 times more life changing than that. As I had said a few times before, this should be interesting.

I can only assume that the rest of the year is going to be preparing for the new arrivals, so with that, I can assume as well that this blog will only help in chronicling the progress of the pregnancy. I mean, that's gotta be a safe assumption, wouldn't you agree? Well, for now I will just leave it at that. I think that this was a huge step for me just trying to update this blog. Hopefully it gets the ball rolling. Here are a picture of two from the live shows that I attended (I hope they come out alright, and I hope you enjoy!). Super Sunday

Super Sunday is finally upon us! It's kind of like my holiday, or just a holiday in general for sport fanatics! Or is it just another excuse to pig out and get drunk? Well....that too, right!? Nothing wrong with that in my book.

I don't know what to make of this Super Bowl. The Steelers or the Cardinals? Man, this one could really go either way. I guess what I always tell everyone is that I hope that is a good game. It will be hard to top last year's game though. I guess it is a good sign that we have had competitive games over the last couple years. I hope that this one is too!

Well, it is the second day of my four day weekend...and my sinuses are freaking killing me. the left side of my nose and head are giving me problems. It started Friday afternoon too! Argh, it is so frustrating!! I held up ok on Saturday, but the evening and then this morning have been a bit bad. I am not worried about tonight though because I am going to drink myself numb, or at least I am going to try my best to. Man, this is like the second time that I am "sick" for the Super Bowl...what is up with that. At least I have two days of recovery after this...

On the menu for the game is going to be, a personal favorite of mine, fried turkey! Man, that bird always comes out so freaking flavorful. It is supposed to rain though, so us without any carport or cover at all, it will make for an interesting time to go outside and try to cook the bird, you know?! I think (errr, hope) that it will be fine. We also have some great potatoes that Laura is going to whip up too. Man, it is going to be good!

As for the Super Bowl spots, I guess that a lot of people look as forward to them as many look towards the game itself. I like a good ad I guess. Although, this Super Bowl is going to be chalk full of movie spots, to which I have seen four already via the internet. I have seen the G.I. Joe spot, the Transformers 2 spot, the Star Trek spot and the Land of the Lost spot. Yeah, I said it...the Land of the Lost, starring Will Ferrell. It made me laugh, a little. I don't know how this G.I. Joe movie is going to play out, but the spot looked half way decent. I mean, it looked to have plenty of action, but my gut feeling for this movie isn't good. Now, the Transformers 2 spot was sick. It was a teaser in every sense of the word. It was quick and made you want more. Looks like it could be a darker film than the first. I can't wait to see it in HD.

Well, I guess that is all for now. Depending how I feel tomorrow, I might chime in with some post Super Bowl thoughts....

later...
